In the Centralville neighborhood, the city has launched the Centralville Habitat Interconnected Restoration Project (CHIRP). Robinson Middle School, while the mini forest is being developed on a nearby vacant parcel. Lowell Leaders in Stewardship Program

Solid Waste and Recycling Pilot Program
In March 2026, fourth graders from Abraham Lincoln Elementary School participated in hands-on lessons about reducing waste.
